Back to work folks! We're putting together some fun for our 6th Annual Christmas Show at the Pourhouse in Raleigh Friday night. It is really hard to believe that this is the 6th year for this show. We've had some great times in the past and this year should not be an exception. At this point all we know is that you should get there early for a taste of The Jackets at 10pm sharp. After that, who knows! See you there.

December 6, 2008:

The countdown has almost made it to lift off ladies and gentlemen!  That's right, North Carolina supergroup The Jackets will be playing their first show on Tuesday, December 9th at The Berkeley Cafe in Raleigh.  For those of you completely out of the loop, The Jackets are the band that Teer and Chandler have assembled over the past year, hand-picking each member from such illustrious groups as The Thad Cockrell Band and Hotel Lights.  Their MySpace is here.   In the words of founding member Chandler Holt, "It's just an excuse for Teer to play loud electric guitar."  Be there or be square.

Goodnight Irene. Well, tour is over and we're on the way home. Great to cap it off with another sold-out night at the Luminaire in London. Thanks to all of the folks that came out across our 9 days of running to stand still. Also a huge, huge, huge thanks to Shaun Whitehouse for driving us all over creation, taking care of the business and buying John the right cold medicine when he had the sniffles. Cheers!

Manchester! What a hot time at the Night & Day Cafe. We got to meet Graham who loaned us The Governor (or Guv'nor) for Greg to play on the Tour. Thanks a ton Graham. Click on the photo to see Chandler's impersonation of 007 Daniel Craig.

Dublin! All John wanted to see was places from the movie Once, but instead we went to a pub that James Joyce frequented. I don't think a name like The Bleeding Horse would go over as well in the States but maybe that's why none of our Irish pubs cut the mustard. Anyways, great times and a special thanks to everyone who traveled from Kilkenny and said hello after the show. Ahhhh it's a good pint.

Made it to Belfast just in time to tape a show for BBC Northen Ireland. This will appear on the air at some point. It will also be archived on the internet for a week or so. We will let you know. Great times in Newcastle last night. Thanks to Graham and everyone with Jumping Hot Club for another great show.

Extra. . . Extra. . .Sold-Out show in Belfast, thanks friends!

Here is the Holt Brother backstage at The Arches in Glasgow, Scotland. Thanks to everyone who came out to the show. The Arches are built into the structure that supports the railroad station in Glasgow. Amazing. Our nightly distance award went to the gentleman who drove farther than we did to get to the show. . . and we drove all the way from Bristol. The Bristol show was at Fiddlers which is a converted prison. Gotta love this country! Keep your eye out for our opening act The Carrivick Sisters.

Amazing sold-out show last night in London. Same goes for Brighton the night before. We did an interview for Wishful-Thinker TV before the Brighton show which you can view here. We'd love to put a picture up of either of these shows but lo and behold nobody has sent us one yet. Do us a favor and email our memories on over.

The album features 14 live tracks and you can only get it at the show!

November 8, 2008:

Inspired by the success of Gwen Stefani and Justin Timberlake, Dave has decided to go solo. He'll be opening for James McMurtry this Sunday, the 9th at the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro. Either it's a play for massive success or James' opener had to cancel and it's just a favor. Come hear some new/old tunes!
